Four Rivers Flowed from Eden: Who God Is, What He is Like, What it Means
Education & Discipleship

Four rivers flowed from Eden and watered the entire earth (Gen 2:10). Paul says, "For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes…have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made…" (Ro 1:20 AMP).
These four rivers, then, have a declaration about their Creator: He has four main attributes. As these four rivers watered the entire earth of that time, so also God's four attributes provide (offer) life to all humanity. Did not Jesus say "rivers of life" would flow and overflow in any person who believed in Him, watering every corner of their life?
These rivers flowed from a place called Eden, which means in Hebrew
"delight or pleasure." Scripture says God Himself is delight or pleasure (Ps 16:11). Eden illustrates God! Just as these four rivers flowed from a place called Pleasure, so also God's four attributes are outflows or expressions of the perfect pleasure that He is. We find the purest, most pristine happiness by drinking in our Creator's four attributes daily and for the rest of our lives.

Psalm 36:8 (NKJV): ...You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.

New Testament Prophecy: Healthy, Mature Prophetic Ministry in the Church
Education, Ministry, & Leadership

The validity or nature of contemporary prophecy is a struggle in today's born-again community. Commendable, responsible Christians in all the Bible-believing spiritual cultures are situated on various points of the opinion spectrum. Prophecy is indeed a subject with significant electricity. Speaking for the one true God, explicitly or implicitly, is a matter of daunting voltage.
Christians of different generations and different geographies have had variable attitudes toward prophecy. However, almost all Christians in church history have believed in some level of Spirit-guided speech. It is simply too common and too recognizable among born-again worshipers.
Junior deSouza Ministries unequivocally and unapologetically celebrates and practices New Testament prophetic ministry. This resource is devoted to educating and equipping the body of Christ, the prophetically-oriented in particular, on this important ministerial apparatus. May you read the following with an open Bible and open heart under an open heaven.

Nebuchadnezzar's Statue

Think of all the First Coming signs: a pregnant virgin (Isa 7:14), a birth in Bethlehem (Mic 5:2), a devastating infanticide (Jer 31:15), a mysterious retreat in Egypt (Hos 11:1), an Elijah-esque prophet in the desert (Isa 40:3), etc. We often take these fait accompli signs for granted, not realizing we are under an identically grave responsibility to recognize the prophetic precursors to the Second Coming. We are never to be concerned with a specific date of Jesus' return. Instead, God has provided several scriptures with verifiable signs to signal the final generations of human history to His overcoming remnant. Perhaps the most important of these scriptures is Daniel 2, Nebuchadnezzar's dream of a strange statue.
