Junior began writing poetry in the third grade for poetry contests. Naturally, poetic motivation and content changed significantly as the Lord and real life happened. Some of his poems are deeply worshipful and spiritual, like psalms or spiritual songs. Some are cerebral and theological, using rhythmic and shrewd word plays to simplify and convey complex truths. And some, written in his most vulnerable moments, capture a raw and uncensored humanity in its purest form.
